How it began
The idea behind 46° Balaton Wine Route grew from a simple realisation: the Balatonfüred–Csopak wine region is one of Hungary's most beautiful and prestigious, yet most people simply pass through it. We wanted to show that it's worth stopping, slowing down – and letting the wine and the landscape tell their story.
Two routes, one wine region
We chose the hop-on hop-off format because we believe the journey itself is an experience. The retro bus winds through the vineyards, a little familiar, a little adventurous – as a wine tour day should be. We set off on two different routes so we can reveal as many wineries and as much character from the Balaton Highlands as possible.

The journey is the experience
A special atmosphere pervades every stop on the Balaton Highlands wine route. The bus sets off along a winding hillside, with shared laughter, climbing upward – and participants become friends within moments.
The community is the experience itself – the bus is a small world where everyone is curious, open and happy. Our returning guests say: it's not the wine that makes it special, it's the atmosphere. We believe the two are inseparable.
